This 7-week course introduces the fundamentals of figure drawing with a focus on gesture, proportion, and structure. Students will learn to draw the human body using techniques such as center of gravity lines, blocking, and working from general to specific. Assignments will progress from quick 3-minute gestures to 10-minute studies, 20-minute studies, and long poses, and will culminate in a multi-session final drawing. Working from photo references and mirrors, students will develop tools to capture balance, rhythm, and form. All levels are welcome.
