Advanced Time-Base Post Production

In this Time-Based Media editing and finishing intensive, students learn professional strategies and workflows for completing polished time-based (digital video and/or animation) projects, including color grading, video effects, and audio mixing. Students are introduced to the wide range of tools and techniques available in Blackmagic Design’s DaVinci Resolve software, as well as Adobe After Effects and advanced features of Adobe Premiere and Audition. Previous coursework or related experience with video production, animation, and non-linear editing is required. Students should begin the class with a planned or in-progress project. This advanced-level class provides both technical skills and individualized guidance with project development. Meetings include technical demonstrations, 1:1 work sessions, viewing/discussion of contemporary time-based works, and class-wide critiques / feedback sessions.
