An introduction to the basic glassblowing techniques used to make vessels and sculptural forms. Throughout the course, progressively more difficult assignments teach new concepts and develop students’ skills. Group glassblowing clinics encourage teamwork. Historical and contemporary glass techniques, designs, and applications are discussed and incorporated into student work. No previous experience in glassblowing is required.

This class meets in the Collins Glassblowing hotshop at MassArt.

No class Wednesday January 8th. Apart from Jan 8th, class meets every day, including weekends, from Jan 4th to 13th.
