Drea Cofield

Drea Cofield is a Brooklyn-based painter whose current practice spans portraiture, and plein air landscapes She is best known for her ongoing Selfie Project, which merges art-historical portraiture with contemporary questions of self-imaging and looking in a digital world. Cofield has exhibited widely, with solo presentations at Kravets Wehby Gallery, Future Fair (NYC), Galleri Urbane (Dallas), and Soho Revue (London). Her work has been featured in CULTURED, The Wall Street Journal, WhiteHot Magazine, and Dazed, to name a few. She is a recipient of a Elizabeth Greenshields Grant and has attended residencies at Yaddo (New York) in 2023 and La Napoule (France) in 2025. Cofield received her B.A. from DePauw University (Greencastle, IN) in 2008 and her M.F.A from Yale School of Art (New Haven, CT), in 2013.
