An introduction to the basic glassblowing techniques used to make vessels and sculptural forms. Throughout the course, progressively more difficult assignments teach new concepts and develop students’ skills. Group glassblowing clinics encourage teamwork. Historical and contemporary glass techniques, designs, and applications are discussed and incorporated into student work. No previous experience in glassblowing is required.

Nikki Tsamis
Nikki Tsamis is a glass artist and teacher based in central Massachusetts. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in glass from MassArt in 2019 and has been working as a production glassblower and instructor since 2018. In her own practice, she enjoys creating jewelry and sculpture that is inspired by the natural world around us.
