Create your own personalized, hand-made cards using letterpress. Learn how to set metal & wood type and how to operate the four presses, exploring the basics of analog printing. Image-making methods, ink handling, print tools, paper handling, and multipass printing will be demonstrated. By the end of the class students will have a set of personal handmade cards, envelopes not included.
Topics include typography, page layout, and color.
All levels welcome.
This class meets in person on campus at MassArt.
