This online course features the following types of interaction:

From creature features to cyberpunk narratives, this course is designed to help you generate complex worlds through a diverse range of animation processes and science fiction references. Pre- and post-production methods that will be covered include screenwriting, character design, background layouts, sound design, and DIY rigged maquettes and green screens. Basic traditional hand drawn animation principles will also be covered. Alongside historical and contemporary animations that fall into the sci-fi realm, we will look at a wide range of comics, sculpture, and literature from different cultural viewpoints such as Soviet science fiction, Afrofuturism, and feminist perspectives. Classes will consist of screenings/presentations, in-depth discussions, table reads, studio, and critiques. Freeware includes Stop Motion Studio and Celtx. Adobe Premiere, Photoshop and After Effects will also be integrated.
